Differences b/w Camon 30 Models
The Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip powered the Pro, enabling 5G support, while the Helio G99 Ultimate powered the Camon 30 as a 4G device. Later, Tecno introduced the Camon 30S Pro as a 4G variant of the 30 Pro, driven by the Helio G100 processor.
Now, let’s proceed to the Tecno Camon 30S. Like the S Pro, the 30S is a 4G phone running on the Helio G100 chipset. It offers various configurations: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB options. Virtual RAM is also available, effectively doubling the RAM for better performance.

The S Pro had two major upgrades over the regular Pro: a curved display and an IP rating. The 30S follows suit with a curved 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.
It offers up to 1,300 nits of brightness in high brightness mode while using 2,160Hz PWM dimming. It’s a 10-bit panel covering the full DCI-P3 colour space, protected by Gorilla Glass (the specific version is not mentioned).
The 30S has an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, and its touchscreen works even with wet fingers.
Camera Setup
The rear camera remains a 50MP shooter, featuring a large 1/1.56″ Sony IMX896 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). A 2MP depth sensor and dual-LED flash accompany it.
A punch hole in the display embeds the front camera. Unlike the 50MP selfie camera on the 30S Pro, the Camon 30S has a 13MP front-facing sensor with dual-LED flash.
Audio and Battery
The 30S includes stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos but lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack from the original Camon 30. The 5,000mAh battery remains, though charging speed is downgraded to 33W, slower than the 70W found on the Camon 30.
Colour-Changing Design and Availability
The Tecno Camon 30S features a unique colour-changing design. For instance, the Blue model shifts from light purple to dark blue under sunlight. Other colour options include Nebula Violet, Celestial Black, and Dawn Gold.
Currently, the Camon 30S is available in Pakistan, with the top-end 8GB/256GB variant priced at $215, £165, 200). Although the colour-changing Blue variant is not listed. T
he 30S has also appeared in Kenya and Mali but is not yet on sale in those regions. Third-party retailers currently do not have the device in stock.
