The 2025 Eid Ul Adha will be celebrated on 6th June according to the sighting of Dil Hajjah moon on 28 May. Eid ul-Adha is a major Islamic festival. It started during the time of Prophet Ibrahim.

Things to Remember Following 2025 Eid Ul Adha
Historical Context
Allah tested Ibrahim’s faith in him. In a dream, Allah told him to sacrifice his son, Ismail. Prophet Ibrahim trusted Allah and prepared to follow His command. Just as he was about to sacrifice his son, Angel Gabriel intervened and replaced his son with a ram on Allah’s command.
This event showed Ibrahim’s strong faith and obedience. Muslims around the world remember this act during Eid ul-Adha.
Common Acts on Eid Ul Adha
Muslims who can afford, sacrifice or Qurban an animal. Usually a goat, sheep, cow, or camel. They share the meat with family, friends, and most importantly with the people in need.
Eid ul-Adha also marks the end of Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca. Every year, millions of Muslims travel to Mecca during this time. This festival reminds Muslims to trust God, help others, and stay united.
Instruction on Sacrificing the Animal
- The animal cannot be sacrificed before Namaz-e-Eid. The sacrifice is only accepted after Eid Salah is offered.
- It is better for the animal’s owner to sacrifice his animal himself.
- If he cannot do so, someone else can do it for him, but his permission is required.
Commandment of Allah on This Occasion
Allah and His Prophet ﷺ ordered the Muslims to give away as much meat as possible to the poor and needy on Eid Ul Adha.
